
Independent Living Services
Independent living services are provided to youth in foster care, ages 13 through 17, and young adults formerly in foster care ages 18 to 23 to assist in making the transition to self-sufficiency as adults.
Independent living services are defined as assessment and skills traning for adolescents in out-of-home care which shall include the following acitivities: vocational exploration opportunities, problem solving and decision making, independent living skills, and social skills. The skill plan is designed to meet the assessed needs of each child.
